Look at all the fabulous colours and patterns used.

I always find it amazing when someone is able to put many and varied blocks together into a cohesive whole.  Here is a great example.

                                          Linda Crump belonged to a quilting bee on Instagram called the Solid Seven.  The month that you are the Queen Bee you get to request a block from the other members.  This is her result... a stunning modern quilt.  Too bad the group has closed.

The SMQG's outdoor show was a triumph.

If you live close by you are very lucky and can even join the guild or just drop by for a meeting.  

I hope you have enjoyed this little trip to Venice and the quilts blowing in the breeze on the clothesline.  Not your grandmother's laundry day by any means.
