Quilts at Heritage Village
In the Moore House there are three bedrooms and three quilts - Tree of Life, Wagon Wheel and Crazy.
Bedroom addition made from a corner of the front porch. Beautiful Tree of Life quilt is on the metal frame bed. Note the wooden wheel used as decoration. |
Close up of Tree of Life quilt. Can you see the hand quilted feather? Note colour of binding and colour of tree. |
Wagon Wheel quilt done in red and white displayed on a four poster bed. |

Interesting choice of colours for the feather stitch embroidery.
On the wall in the Walsingham House, also known as the Doctor’s house, is a beautiful piece of cross stitch. The Lord’s Prayer is framed by a golden scroll and a geometric navy border. It is too bad it was not signed or dated.

It is amazing where quilts turn up.
I highly recommend visiting Heritage Village.
Of course I’m thinking about making a Tree of Life and a Wagon Wheel quilt now. Dreaming…
